Some inspiring new street art in Dunedin is very close to home for our staff in that city.

Dunedin street artDunedin has fast become a popular venue for street art and a recent addition to that landscape has happened at Guthrie House which is where our Dunedin office is located.

The piece, titled "Take a Leap" depicts three happy children jumping through autumn leaves.

The art has the support of Presbyterian Support Otago’s Family Works services which aim to help establish families that are strong, safe and connected. The concept was developed by two Dunedin artists who have already contributed five other art pieces across the city.

They spent about 150 hours going up and down scaffolding with paint brushes in hand, applying over 70 litres of paint to transform the wall.

Housing New Zealand Area Manager Kate said the art work was inspiring and a great addition to the local landscape. It was greatly appreciated by teams from the debt, placement, maintenance, tenancy liaison and assets teams who gathered in Dunedin for a meeting recently.
