There are four development related panels now set up to help organisations connect to HNZ. The panels ensure we are able to access the right delivery partners to help us build at scale and pace in areas with high demand for social housing.
Housing New Zealand (HNZ) plans to build thousands of new homes in the Auckland region over the next few years. These won’t be your traditional state houses. Designed for energy efficiency and comfort, these homes will come in a range of sizes to reflect the changing needs of our tenants. So we need more contractors who can undertake the detailed design and construction of dwellings.
100% HNZ Redevelopment Panel (Auckland)
The Auckland panel is an open panel of Build partners, meaning that interested organisations can apply to become members at any stage during its operation (until 30 June 2020).
Civil Contractor Panel (Auckland)
This panel includes civil works contractors for civil and landscaping works in the Auckland region. This is an open panel; those interested can apply to become members at any stage until 31 March 2020.
Modular & Prefabricated Housing Solutions Panel (Auckland and nationwide)
This panel is set up to provide modular & pre-fabricated housing solutions in the greater Auckland region and nationally. This is an open panel; those interested can apply to become a member from now until 31st October 2018. HNZ may then extend the panel by an additional 12 months.
Demolition Panel (Auckland)
HNZ has an ongoing requirement for demolition contractors to undertake demolition and site clearance works on a number of sites in the Auckland region. The demolitions will be a mix of planned and unplanned work. This is an open panel; those interested can apply to join at any stage until 30 June 2018, with the possibility of extending to 30 June 2019.
