HNZ’s current tender opportunities

Housing New Zealand (HNZ) tenders are advertised and managed through the Government Electronic Tendering Service (external link) (GETS).

You can register on GETS as a supplier to view detailed tender information, access tender documents and receive tender notifications.

HNZ also uses TenderLink, which is one of the largest electronic procurement systems in the Southern Hemisphere. It is a central gateway for the advertisement and management of tenders and other business opportunities in Australasia. TenderLink’s clients include many of Australasia’s leading government, public and private sector procurers.

Future tender opportunities

Upcoming HNZ tender opportunities (external link) are included in the government’s Annual Procurement Plan. This consolidated list of anticipated NZ government procurement includes expected procurements over the next few years.

Existing HNZ sourcing arrangements

HNZ has established a number of supply relationships for the provision of goods, services and works. These arrangements are a mix of panels (open and closed) and direct relationships.

Contract/agreement template

HNZ’s supplier contracts / agreements for general services and products are based on the Government Model Contracts (external link) .

HNZ also utilises the CCCS and NZ3910 contract suites for construction related professional services, consultancy and build contracts, with several special conditions specific to HNZ. The contract form to be used for each contract opportunity is generally published as part of the appendices related to any procurement. Please refer to GETS and/or TenderLink for further details.

 

Purchase order terms and conditions

If there is no specific contract for the goods and services ordered on a purchase order, HNZ’s general terms and conditions [PDF, 340 KB] will apply.

Suppliers will be deemed to have accepted these general terms and conditions when supplying any good / service to HNZ.

 

New Zealand Government Procurement

The Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) establishes standards of good practice for the procurement of goods and services by the New Zealand Public Sector.

HNZ applies these standards (external link) to all procurement activity.
